SETTLE AND SEEK : God Carries Us To Bless The City
Jeremiah 29:7 says, \"Seek the peace of the city where I have carried you.\"
Israel was in Babylon feeling homesick, temporary, complaining - just like many of us in Melbourne today. But God says you are not an accidental migrant; you are an appointed missionary. He carried us from various places not just to get PR and leave, but to plant gardens, build homes, and pray for this city. When Melbourne prospers, we prosper. So stop cursing the city for rent and loneliness, start blessing it with prayer, good work, and Good Samaritan kindness.
STEWARDSHIP CHANGES, SERVICE CONTINUES : Thank You & Welcome
By God\'s grace, our Annual General Body was held in a blessed and orderly manner on 23rd August with good participation, cooperation and support of all our parishioners - thank you! We sincerely thank our previous office bearers and executive committee for their tireless efforts, time, and contributions in leading our parish through the last year. God has seen your labour. We joyfully congratulate and welcome our new office bearers and new committee members who have now started their work for this Pearl Anniversary year. May God grant you wisdom, unity and passion to lead us forward. Our best wishes and prayers: May you work more for the betterment of our Church and the wider society, building on Word, caring for World, and bringing glory to God in all you do.
SHINE LIKE PEARL : 30 Years Grace, Now Go Serve
Our Melbourne Mar Thoma Church is celebrating its 30th Pearl Anniversary this year - 30 years of God\'s faithfulness in a foreign land! Pearl is formed through pressure, pain and patience - just like our parish story from a few families in living rooms to God\'s family today in Melbourne. This is not a year to only cut cake and take photos; this is a year to do many works for the Lord. Every organisation - Sevika Sanghom, Yuvajana Sakhyam, Sunday School, Youth, Karunya Edavaka Mission, Choir, Young Family Fellowship - must arise and conduct meaningful programmes. As a parish, our call is clear: Ministry to the nation, Fellowship with each other, Nurture children in faith, Revival in Spirit, and Charity to the needy - all depending on the Word of God and caring for the world God loves. This is our Pearl year; what pearl will we produce? Pray more, serve one new family, teach one child, visit one lonely, give for one mission. 30 years God carried us - now let us carry Melbourne to God. Let\'s not just celebrate history; let\'s make history for His glory.
STRONG ON THE ROCK : Sunday School Senior Camp 2025
Our Sunday School Senior Camp will be held on September 25, 26 & 27 with the powerful theme \"Rock Over the Crowd\". We need MORE participation of our senior students! This is their time to build a firm foundation. We humbly request all parents - please encourage and send your children for these 3 days; don\'t miss this faith investment. Our main speaker will be Rev. Manoj Mathews, Perth Mar Thoma Church, a youth-loved speaker who will challenge our children to stand for Jesus even when the crowd goes the other way. Let\'s pray for this camp - that our children will choose the Rock over the crowd.
SEPTEMBER OF STEADFASTNESS : Come, Let\'s Build Together
As we step into this beautiful Spring month of September, let us come together as one family. Let’s not be a Sunday-only church - let’s participate wholeheartedly in every Holy Qurbana, every organisation meeting, prayer gathering, fellowship and programme. Our presence is our ministry. Our participation is our witness to our children and to Melbourne. Come, bring one new person, serve in one area, and let God bloom His life through us this month.'>View More
