36. Now in Joppa there was a disciple whose name was Tabitha, which in Greek is Dorcas. She was devoted to good works and acts of charity.

37. At that time she became ill and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in a room upstairs.

38. Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, who heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him with the request, “Please come to us without delay.”

39. So Peter got up and went with them; and when he arrived, they took him to the room upstairs. All the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing tunics and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was with them.

40. Peter put all of them outside, and then he knelt down and prayed. He turned to the body and said, “Tabitha, get up.” Then she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.

41. He gave her his hand and helped her up. Then calling the saints and widows, he showed her to be alive.

42. This became known throughout Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.

36. യോപ്പയിൽ പേടമാൻ എന്നർത്ഥമുള്ള തബീഥാ എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു ശിഷ്യ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൾ വളരെ സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളും ധർമ്മങ്ങളും ചെയ്തുപോന്നവളായിരുന്നു.

37. ആ കാലത്ത് അവൾ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിച്ചു; അവർ അവളെ കുളിപ്പിച്ചു ഒരു മാളികമുറിയിൽ കിടത്തി.

12. കർത്താവിൽ അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കുന്നവരായ ത്രുഫൈനെക്കും ത്രുഫോസെക്കും വന്ദനം ചൊല്ലുവിൻ. കർത്താവിൽ വളരെ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചവളായ പ്രിയ പെർസിസിന്നു വന്ദനം ചൊല്ലുവിൻ.

1. After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.

2. And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.

3. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

4. For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men.

5. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.

6. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.

7. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.’ This is my message for you.”

8. So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

9. Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.

10. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” The Report of the Guard

1. सब्त के बाद जब रविवार की सुबह पौ फट रही थी, मरियम मगदलीनी और दूसरी स्त्री मरियम कब्र की जाँच करने आईं।

2. क्योंकि स्वर्ग से प्रभु का एक स्वर्गदूत वहाँ उतरा था, इसलिए उस समय एक बहुत बड़ा भूचाल आया। स्वर्गदूत ने वहाँ आकर पत्थर को लुढ़का दिया और उस पर बैठ गया।

3. उसका रूप आकाश की बिजली की तरह चमचमा रहा था और उसके वस्त्र बर्फ़ के जैसे उजले थे।

4. वे सिपाही जो कब्र का पहरा दे रहे थे, डर के मारे काँपने लगे और ऐसे हो गये जैसे मर गये हों।

5. तब स्वर्गदूत ने उन स्त्रियों से कहा, “डरो मत, मैं जानता हूँ कि तुम यीशु को खोज रही हो जिसे क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया गया था।

6. वह यहाँ नहीं है। जैसा कि उसने कहा था, वह मौत के बाद फिर जिला दिया गया है। आओ, उस स्थान को देखो, जहाँ वह लेटा था।

7. और फिर तुरंत जाओ और उसके शिष्यों से कहो, ‘वह मरे हुओं में से जिला दिया गया है और अब वह तुमसे पहले गलील को जा रहा है तुम उसे वहीं देखोगे’ जो मैंने तुमसे कहा है, उसे याद रखो।”

10. तब यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “डरो मत, मेरे बंधुओं के पास जाओ, और उनसे कहो कि वे गलील के लिए रवाना हो जायें, वहीं वे मुझे देखेंगे।” पहरेदारों द्वारा यहूदी नेताओं को घटना की सूचना

5. ദൂതൻ സ്ത്രീകളോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട യേശുവിനെ നിങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു;

6. അവൻ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല; താൻ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു; അവൻ കിടന്ന സ്ഥലം വന്നുകാണ്മിൻ

10. യേശു അവരോടു: “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട; നിങ്ങൾ പോയി എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു ഗലീലെക്കു പോകുവാൻ പറവിൻ; അവിടെ അവർ എന്നെ കാണും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
